Staff is extremely personable & eager to personally assist, regardless of what time it is, even if it's 1 minute until they close! Truth be told, I've become so accustom to the Complete Opposite at the bigger chain stores that Food Depot's outstanding customer service made me uneasy at first!
Food Depot is a good place to shop for groceries. The only drawback I have with them is when they charge the 10% even on food stamps. I don't always shop with food stamps. I some times have to spend money too. I think they should stop charging the 10% on food stamps. I don't get many stamps and it hurts when you have to pay that extra percentage. I personally think you come out better shopping at Kroger's or Ingles with your stamps at least for all your items except your meats.
This store doesn't jack up their prices due to competitor pricing! They don't offer that wide selection of name brand items but you're also not paying that 'wide' dollar amount either!
Good Regional Grocery Chain. They have a cost plus 10 percent at the register.
Only shop here for specialty items I.e. Collard Greens & fat meats, service is good and employees friendly. Not fond of 10% add on at checkout
I only stop here because it is convenient. I've leaned its not a good place. I've purchased 4 packs of Butterball ground turkey from them. I went home to cook two packs and placed the other packs in the freezer. Soon as I opened the pack, it had a unpleasant sent to it. I called and talked with the mgr., he told me to discard the meat I've opened and bring back the other two packs. I went back the next day to replace the meat because the mgr. informed me a truck was coming in. Well customer service and another worker have given me a hard time, which we went back and forth...whereas, the meat mgr. immediately refunded my money without any resistance. I will be very caution when purchasing from this location.
