Love hiking along the river. The trails are winding and rocky. Found some ticks on me when I got home. The river is gorgeous & peaceful.
However it was closed my last visit and I can't find out why
Bring your dog too, they love playing in the river.
Never crowded when I have visited. It's also the only place where I have caught bass in the rapids! So exciting!

This used 2 b my lil piece of Heaven, but I'd say that since Ranger Mike has been gone, it's like the place has went downhill! I WANT RANGER MIKE BAK!!! I'm sure I'm not the only 1 who misses him!! He REALLY CARED bout the up-keep & the integrity of The Shoals!
