Montessori School of Covington has a unique education environment that meets each child at their level. I would recommend this school to any parent searching for a place their child can build independence, a love of learning and respect for the world around them.
Terrible school...I failed every subject here.I was treated terrible by someone (who i will not name) who she abused me and most of my freinds.they also fired a teacher that did absolutely nothing wrong,I later changed to a public school...are of my grades are NOW ABOVE 75 IN EACH SUBJECT.
My son has been attending this school for 5 years now and is entering his sixth. Montessori is a perfect learning environment for my child. He excels in some areas and struggles in others but as he is allowed to move forward with what he excels in he doesn't get disheartened and keeps moving forward. He gets extra help with the areas he struggles in and is still staying at grade level in those subjects. The staff are all friendly and thanks to good teacher/student ratios very aware of each child and their daily work. The school encourages parent participation and that can be seen any day that one visits. This of course is not to say the school is perfect. It has been disappointing to see some excellent teachers leave in recent years but the new teachers that have been added all come with Montessori accreditation and are, in some cases, already well known and liked in the community. With several weeks of the year underway I have heard great things from parents in every class. I plan to have my child attend this school all the way through middle school and would recommend any prospective parents to come visit and see for yourselves how great an educational environment it is.
MSC is by far the most wonderful school I have ever encountered. The entire staff is kind and caring, and my child has never been so happy. She is learning at a fantastic rate, and is really opening her mind to new and exciting ideas. I could not be more pleased.
If you have never heard of Montessori before, I highly encourage you to check this school out. From walking in, you can tell that this is more than just a "school." This is a way of teaching children to love learning. When we first observed, it was obvious that the students were all very happy and productive. Rather than being restricted to sitting in a desk doing worksheet after worksheet, these students were up choosing works and asking to learn more! We did more research and learned that many of today's most successful people attribute their success to their own Montessori education... like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and the founders of Google. How is this not more well known?! But do not merely rely on other's advice; schedule an observation and see this unique kind of education for yourself!
